She is particularly interested in researching the socio-environmental dynamics of climate change, mitigation, and climate injustice. In the project she is responsible for ethnographic research in Warsaw. You can reach her at: z.bienkowska@uw.edu.pl
Zofia Boni is the PI of the project. She is a social anthropologist. She did her PhD at SOAS, University of London and is currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Anthropology and Ethnology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (UAM). In this project, Zofia combines her previous research interests in people’s embodied experiences, aligned with medical anthropology, with a fascination with interdisciplinary research. She is particularly keen on understanding and demonstrating the connections between global climate change and people’s daily experiences. You can reach her at zofia.boni@amu.edu.pl
Nuria Castell, Project Partner, has PhD degree in Atmospheric Physics and at present holds a position as senior research scientist at the Norwegian Institute for Air Research (NILU). Her current research focuses on the exploitation of novel monitoring technologies to complement existing monitoring systems in the characterization of the urban environment. She is passionate about engaging citizens in scientific activities, and she is exploring new ways of using citizen science to both monitor the environment and increase environmental action. Iulia is passionate about exploring alternative approaches for identifying new opportunities to better manage climate risk. She is interested in transdisciplinary research and exploring new ways to bridge climate science with epidemiology and other health studies. Email: iulia.marginean@cicero.oslo.no
Małgorzata Wrotek is a PhD researcher at the Faculty of Economic Sciences University of Warsaw. She has participated in research activities of the Centre of Migration Research since 2016 and was involved in two projects: „Unfinished migration transition and ageing population in Poland. Asynchronous population changes and the transformation of formal and informal care institutions” and „The economic integration of immigrants in a country in the intermediate phase of the migration cycle – Poland versus selected EU countries”. Her main research interests are focused on gerontology, epidemiology and demography, especially population ageing and possible impact on long term care. She uses statistical analysis and quantitative methods in her research. Email: mwrotek@wne.uw.edu.pl
