European Climate Risk Assessment

02 de abril de 2024

The first European Climate Risk Assessment (EUCRA), prepared by the European Environment Agency, identifies 36 climate risks that pose a threat to Europe’s energy and food security, ecosystems, infrastructure, water resources, financial stability, and people’s health. It shows that many of these risks have already reached critical levels and can become catastrophic without urgent and decisive action.
The report demonstrates that Europe is the fastest-warming continent in the world. Extreme heat, once rare but currently exacerbated by climate crisis, will affect the lives, health and wellbeing of thousands of people. It also poses great risk to Europe’s energy and food security, ecosystems, infrastructure, water resources, and financial stability

The report can be found here.
